Lamb's lettuce does not require any special care.
Important is, that no weeds are allowed to grow and that the soil between the rows is regularly loosened. Lamb's lettuce is characterized by a fairly good frost resistance and can be harvested throughout the winter in frost-free weather. Outdoor seeds are covered with brushwood or. other suitable material or built over with foil-covered wooden frames, to facilitate harvesting. Cultures under glass should be kept moderately moist and ventilated well, to prevent the risk of rotting. This also applies to covered or overgrown lamb's lettuce outdoors. Fertilization is usually not necessary. To harvest, cut off the seedlings just below the surface. Sunny spring weather causes lamb's lettuce to develop flowers, so that the harvest must be finished by the end of March. It is only possible in April if the weather stays cool.
