The sowing time extends from the end of July to the beginning of September.

Lamb's lettuce sown at the end of July to the beginning of August can be harvested as early as October, while sowings in early September are usually not ready to harvest until March. Sowing in the cold frame usually takes place between the end of August and the beginning of September.
You sow in rows 15 cm apart and you need a maximum of 1 m2 2 to 3 g seed. Wide sowing makes the absolutely necessary weed control more difficult and should therefore be rejected. The seed must not be deeper than 1 up to 1.5 cm into the ground.
