HOUSE PLANTS THEN AND NOW

Our new, modern apartments are brighter, airier and therefore also more suitable for the care of permanent plant decorations than the rooms of bygone times. Large windows allow us, to offer the flowering and leafy plants favorable living conditions even during the low-light season. Even more important than the better spatial conditions for successful houseplant care is the change to a better integration of the plants into the room. The indoor plants are gone – equal to the magnificent furniture and porters - an imposing element of mere representation like the large, stiff palm tree in the bourgeois salon once was. Today the many sheets- and flowering plants in all imaginable sizes and growth forms are seen as living components of a comfortable living culture. The simplest room, whether it be for work or recreation, becomes friendlier with appropriate plant decorations. With this living ornament in the variety of its natural growth forms and colors, the functionally strict lines of our modern rooms with their simple, loosen up and supplement the clear arrangement of the facility. Collecting and lining up plants by the window is becoming increasingly rare. The possibilities are incredibly diverse, to achieve a good decorative effect with the plants in the room. We have a variety of interior design elements at our disposal for this purpose, of which plant stools and tables, stationary and transportable plant tubs and cribs, Bamboo climbing frames, wood or metal, wall hanging, Buckets and bowls made of different materials may be mentioned.
