There, where the classic canoe as an artistic composite of birch bark, Willow branches and natural resins has its origin, in North America and Canada viz, hobby boat building has long been in vogue. The Hansa-Nautic Company, specializes in boat blueprints of all sizes and types, has developed a canoe plan with drawings and a description of the building for all friends of beautiful wooden boats. And after these documents, even skilled laypeople can become successful boat builders.

The secret is the lightweight construction of the strips – and this term can be interpreted in two senses. Boats, built by professionals, cost between 2000 and 4000 Euro. Building a colander is twice as much fun! What else do you need, to build the canoe? A heated room, in which you can build the slipway.
