No question, a vertiko is a piece from grandmother's times, a piece of nostalgia. We planned on, it to outgoing 20. to bring over the century. These were essentially four chrome legs and one 3 cm thick multiplex board required – and the disrespect, to puncture the top of the old Vertikos. The result is something somewhere between a decorative cabinet and a sideboard, guaranteed unique. The whole thing turns out to be in need of support, which is why we attached a bar to the wall to be on the safe side, on which the piece of furniture rests. To emphasize, that our new creation was mixed from different sources, we intentionally did not match the wood tone of the cover plate to the body.
Two chrome legs fit under the front edge of the Vertiko attachment (Long 72 cm, 0 6 cm, available at the hardware store) screwed. To make a way for the legs for the top shelf, openings are sawn through the ceiling and inner floor (Hole saw, ∅ 6,3 cm). The height-adjustable feet in the chrome legs are screwed to the bottom of the vertiko. Then put your legs back on. The top board, left and right each 10 cm, front 5 cm wider than the Vertiko, will be around at the edges 45 Degree beveled and ground. So that the board has enough support, are rings of the same material (Multiplexplatte) sawn out and bevelled with the router. The rings are positioned and glued under the plate. As long as the white glue hasn't set yet, put the plate on. The rings can be corrected with the plate in place. Attach a board to the back of the Vertiko to support the panel. The sideboard is leaning against the wall and requires a support rail for safety, which engages in an L-shaped bracket on the wall.
