Have you decided on one of the alternatives?? Otherwise we can also make you a third offer: You simply do without a tray and display case and place a larger table top on the base. Then the compartment for board games hidden underneath is also larger and the beautiful oak top comes into its own.
The highlight of our building proposal are miter joints: The butt joints of the top and legs thus coincide with the edges and are not visible. In this way, you can use a table top 4 simulate a cm thick plate, above all, if solid wood strips are used. The costs amount to depending on the version 50 to 60 Euro.

Beautiful mitered edges
All frame corners are also mitred - on the table top as well as on the tray and also on the display case. And we used a second design trick. A shadow gap runs between the base and the oak table top. It is required, if showcase or tray on small gum- or felt feet should stand. What such shadow gaps, which you will also find between the legs and the lower plate, still effect, read on the far right.
When building, it is best to start with the oak board. Should unexpected dimensional deviations occur, you can adjust the base frame accordingly.
