If you don't like the TV program, you can switch off the device. But what to do with the empty screen? Our tip: just make it invisible.
What is your favorite leisure activity? Clear: Home improvement. In most families, however, television comes first, and I'm sure you'll be looked at too.
But at some point the device is switched off, and then the blank screen is not a pretty sight. We have developed a piece of furniture, with which you can make the TV disappear. As? Quite simply with a bezel. As a material, we tried structured glass and a lacquered MDF board. And then we had the idea, to provide the plate with a picture – a great effect! After all, we made sure of that, that the panel can easily slide up and down: She hangs on ropes, that run over rollers, and is counterbalanced. The dimensions of the furniture are intended for a medium-sized TV set. It can also get bigger – as desired.
There is also space for videos and CDs
Medium density fibreboard in two different thicknesses (10 and 19 mm) is the building material for the TV furniture. The beveled sides are made of two thin plates, those with thick liners too 39 mm thick elements can be doubled. At the slopes, the intermediate layers are around 5 mm to-
reset. This creates a track for the box rollers, where the screen, which is guided on ropes, slides up and down. The shelves are placed between the side walls with eccentric connectors. The two drawers slide on ball-bearing full-extension slides. The box depths are designed for CDs and video cassettes.
