Plastic coated steel wire, sold as a clothesline, carries the movable aperture. On the back of the cabinet there is a recess due to the different widths of the side walls, in which an MDF board runs as a counterweight. It should have the same weight as the panel. Both are connected by two ropes of equal length. On each side, two pulleys deflect these ropes at the top cabinet corners. If you choose a glass bezel, you should have the glazier make the cut to fit, who can also trim the sharp edges. Structured glass is available in different versions. The strength of the structure and the degree of coloring determine the transparency of the glass. We painted the sides of the furniture with clear parquet lacquer, all intermediate parts with colored synthetic resin paint. And which solution do you like best??

6 The drawer parts are screwed and glued. Pre-drill and countersink the screw holes, so that the material does not burst away.

7 The body is mounted lying on its side. So that it remains decomposable, the parts are only held together by the connectors.

8. Aluminum brackets and rollers are glued to the smooth side of the glass with two-component adhesive. A bar ensures the correct position.
9 The suspension ropes, here the attachment to the counterweight, must be exactly the same length, otherwise the aperture or weight can tilt slightly.
10 The colorless parquet varnish gives the MDF board its strong brown appearance. The two coats are applied with a brush or roller.
