In principle, house cucumbers are only grown as single shoots.

This requires the construction of a simple framework. At the end of each row of cucumbers, a strong stake is embedded in the ground and securely fastened. Its length depends on the greenhouse height. Between the end of the pile and the roof should be approx 15 cm remain. A wire is stretched as tightly as possible over the ends of the post and anchored well in the ground on both sides. A string is then loosely attached to the root neck of the plant, pulled over the tension wire and the end of the cord attached to the cord at least 70cm below it, that the attachment point remains movable. With increasing length growth, the main shoot is wrapped around the cord in a spiral. This tightens the line and must be able to be extended. With the help of the 70cm long reserve piece, the cords can be "relaxed" in good time, so that the plant roots are not pulled out of the ground.
