In spring, the land dug in autumn is only worked with the cultivator or hand cultivator.
The adjustable devices with interchangeable tines are particularly recommended. They enable working widths of 5 to 25 cm and can loosen the soil up to 10cm deep. The cultivator is always used then, if another thorough loosening of the soil is to be carried out before ordering. This also applies to tillage in spring. Digging would lose a great deal of winter moisture from the soil and thus the plants would lack during their first juvenile development.
