Peat can be used to enrich the soil with humus at any time of the year.
If manure is not available when digging in the fall, you can enrich the dug land with humus in the spring through peat. However, the peat is not buried, but scattered over the land, which still lay in rough clods. The upper layer of soil is then dug through vigorously and the peat mixed in between in this way. In the top layer of soil mixed with peat, vegetable plants develop an extensive root system very quickly, which is very beneficial for growth. If you don't have any peat when you place your order, then it is later given as ground cover.
