How do you keep up with the renovation? Do you enjoy it, To give your living space new shine or get the painting tools out first, when unsightly discolorations can be seen on the walls and the damaged areas on the floor can hardly be hidden? No matter, whether the hurdles for starting the work are more or less high - the job is done, everyone feels more comfortable in their own four walls again.

Experienced do-it-yourselfers know, that good planning is half the job. What has to be done in any case and what changes to the facility could be made in the course of the renovation? First, the rooms are precisely measured and the material requirements must be determined. It's annoying, when you are painting and the color is not enough. On the other hand, you don't want to buy too much of valuable materials like laminate, of course. When it comes to wallpapers, it can be one more role. Should a mishap happen shortly after the renovation, you could simply mend the spot and not have to repackage all of the walls.

All materials and tools are ready, the room is cleared and the old layers of paint have been removed, it goes to work with fresh courage. Make sure there is good lighting, so that you do not experience any unpleasant surprises in daylight. First the ceiling is painted. It is best to start in the middle and work towards the edges. Wallpapering takes some practice, but can also be created by do-it-yourselfers. Do you want to paint over the walls, first work in crosswise direction- and then lengthways. This allows the color to be distributed better. You will save a lot of work later when cleaning, when you open the window, Rubbing strips, Mask off sockets and heaters before painting. After finishing the painting work, lay a new floor covering, the room is spotless again.
