Lets talk Farbe! When it comes to makeup, there are no rules. It's personal and it should be, what each individual feels comfortable with. However, there are tips and tricks, who can help, “to enhance” Their natural characteristics or coloring.
One of those tips is: Eye makeup colors, which to enhance your natural eye color. And this is, where the traditional color wheel comes into play. The color wheel has been in use for many years, in many different areas such as makeup, Mode, Interior design and even landscaping!
I studied the color wheel extensively both when I was an interior design consultant and in the makeup academy I graduated from. The idea of the color wheel is: opposites draw; which does ______________ mean, if you choose a color on the color wheel, what color (or colors) directly opposite are the free shades (e) choose. But with so many different shades and tones of colors, which one should take the featured color wheel quite so literally; specially for makeup.
As an an example: Ich habe braune Augen. In the dark (or night), apply more brown; by daylight, especially on sunny days, turn green. I also have notes of honey shades in it. Your eye color can be the same, you could have blue eyes with bits of green; or green eyes with a hint of teal or mustard etc. It all depends on which shades you want, play or just that, what you feel comfortable with;)
Let's take a closer look with the following images …
BLUE EYES: Apart from this, that pure blue, blue eyes can also have hints of green, teal and even violet -, which is why I marked a wider range of these shades on the wheel. Looking towards these shades of blue, to use the best color for eye makeup, around the blue one “Pop” would make warm brown tones, apricots, be salmon and gold.
GREEN EYES: Apart from this, that pure green, green eyes can hint of teal, honey and gold tones. Looking towards those shades of green, would most complimentary eye makeup shades copperplates, Braun, Become red and plum.
MAKING YOUR GORGEOUS EYES EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL: Hazel eyes are the most complex, as there is no such thing as pure hazel. Brown eyes always have different tones ranging anywhere from brown to green to honey and golden tones. You can change the shade of the eye makeup depending on, which of these colors vary in your eyes you want to stand out. If I want to, around the gold- / bring brown tones to my eyes, I lean more towards purple and plum tones. If I want more of the brown one, I focus on blue tinted eyeshadow … or both, like the picture above;)
brown eyes: Brown eyed beauties, not to be seen, just a few lines of the colors marked for you to be discouraged. You are indeed the happiest eye color as all eye makeup colors suit you. However, blue and purple are your complimentary shades, but you can wear another color just as nice;)
*** Please note the above pointers are a guide only, to look like your natural eye color “intensive”. This doesn't mean, you can't wear anything other than your free shades. There are no rules, and you can certainly wear any color you like;)
