It is easy to work with, waterproof and highly resilient. It does not burn and has very good thermal insulation properties:
The do-it building board is an ideal expansion system for new builds and renovations. The greatest ideas can be realized, especially in sanitary construction.
Do you want to renovate your kitchen or remodel the bathroom? Previously, such work could only be mastered with well-founded masonry knowledge. But with the do-it-yourself building board, the do-it-yourselfer can also dare to tackle these tasks. kitchen shelves, The shelf construction, tub support, pedestals, Washbasins and pipe cladding can be individually designed with this practical construction board.
The blue carrier foam made of extruded polystyrene is coated on both sides with a plastic mortar mixture. An integrated layer of glass fiber gives the panel additional stability.
The advantages of the plate: It is water resistant, therefore particularly suitable for expansion and renovation in damp rooms, it has a high thermal insulation value, what distinguishes them when they are processed in the floor area, and it offers an ideal base for plaster or tiles. A building material, as if made for the bathroom extension. Here are our examples.
Especially in the bathroom you can see the panels, which are available in six strengths (6, 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 mm, standard size 60 x 120 cm), make full use of it and create individual bathroom landscapes in a short space of time. Weights of sinks and fittings are no problem: One 100 cm lange, 5 cm starke, tiled do-it board is available with up to 500 Kilogram loadable. A high flexural strength, the substructure for the shelf, tub support- and pedestal construction comes into full effect.
The processing of the material is very easy. The panel can be cut into any shape with a handsaw or a jigsaw. With a special flexible adhesive, the Regal- or pedestal elements glued to the cut edge. Fixed when laying as a wallboard
the panel is glued using the spot adhesive method, on the floor with full-surface bonding (in an adhesive bed spread with a notched trowel). We will show you some of the numerous areas, where you can quickly get good results with the building board.
When building pedestals and tub supports in the bathroom, the Seibermacher is particularly easy to handle. After the vertical wall sides have been cut to size, the individual elements are glued to the wall and floor with sanitary silicone and to each other at the butt joints with flexible adhesive. This creates a box-like framework. If larger spans z. B. when building a tub support, a double washbasin or a walk-on platform, one pulls in further intermediate struts for reasons of stability. After the adhesive has hardened, the cover plates can be fitted and glued. Then you can use a template to transfer the cutouts for the tub or washbasin to the cover plate and saw them out with a jigsaw.
This way of working saves a lot of time compared to the classic walling of a tub support or pedestal. Thanks to the flat surfaces, the subsequent tiling is much more precise.
Very attractive shelving solutions can also be realized with the building board. First you build a box-like body, in the sides of which the recesses for the shelves are cut with a cutter knife. The shelves coated with adhesive are then inserted here and then tiled.
