Two tall Sten shelves, this time only with 31 cm deep floors, we have here with us 19 mm thick, Colorless lacquered MDF panels embellished as cover and sides. A self-made corner element made of the same material has also been added, which enables an elegant angular installation freely in the room.
The MDF panels, due to the paint being a little darker than in the raw state, with their warm hue provide a nice contrast to the light spruce wood of the Ikea shelves. But they also stand out during processing. Their great advantage are the smooth surfaces and cut edges, which can be primed and painted immediately without extensive pretreatment. The right-angled cuts are best left at the timber dealer or. in the hardware store, as long as manudfce owns a circular saw. Bijdie curves you can use a jigsaw, if possible under a saw table with roller guides. It keeps the saw blade exactly vertical when cutting.
The parts of the corner shelf are simply screwed together butt. Screws are also sufficient for the other connections (and angles).
With the room divider you provide storage space and create a nice retreat corner: Blinds as rear shelves allow more or less insight. On the laterally protruding cover, that connects the two Sten shelves, are hooks for the mini wardrobe.
With special saw table and jigsaw (here with suction device) circular arcs can be sawed precisely, without the leaf pulling out. All parts of the corner shelf are screwed. When attaching the shelves, retaining strips attached with clamps provide a straight support. Alle Vorderkanten der Deckel, also with the small corner shelf, are doubled. Then adjust the individual parts on the floor. After the preparations on the ground, the individual lids can be put on and screwed to their shelves and to each other.
