A new generation of workshop- and all suckers is currently coming onto the market. The devices are no longer equipped with a large round filter, but have one or two flat filters in the lid. The Metabo ASR is one of these devices. Like many other vacuum cleaners, it comes from Electrostar. Extensively identical devices are therefore also available under the brand names AEG, Bosch, Milwaukee and Starmix found in specialty stores.

With these devices, the filters can be easily replaced from above after opening the top part of the lid. Most of these suckers are, as well as the Metabo, with an electromagnetic filter- equipped to rattle. It is put into operation with the main switch for a few seconds. A powerful electromagnet then shakes the fine filter without hesitation, so that the dust falls down into the container. But this property is actually only needed by that person, who uses the vacuum cleaner without a dust bag. Since the dust bags in a pack of five at least 26,50 cost euros, many users do without it.

Operation is simple and clear. With a large switch, the vacuum cleaner can be switched to standard operation and automatic operation. In automatic mode, it runs on for about ten seconds longer, than the manufacturer states (three seconds). This is unnecessarily long and leads to, that the user often puts an end to the noise by pressing the main switch. Then he forgets, set the vacuum cleaner back to automatic mode, will not be vacuumed the next time the machine is started.

The electronic control of the vacuum cleaner is advantageous. The suction power can be reduced with a rotary knob. Small orbital sanders can also be used in this way, which would otherwise easily get stuck on the workpiece with high suction power.

The device is also suitable for vacuuming up liquids. All you have to do is remove the dust bag. It is not necessary to change the filters on top.

The ASR Metabo 2025 is built compact. So he fits despite 25 Liter large plastic container fits well in the trunk. In the back he's got big wheels, but only with the front 60 mm large swivel castors, those already on small obstacles such as floor mats, doorsteps or even your own power cable. Other nozzles are only available in the extensive range of accessories.
