Our fourth suggestion consists of two calmly patterned wallpapers of the same design, but combined in different colors. The mirror frame and the wardrobe are also covered with these types of wallpaper, to arrange a harmonious whole. tip: Paint the wooden elements of the wardrobe and mirror frame with an emulsion paint before wallpapering! This gives the wood an absorbency similar to that of the walls, and the wallpaper holds.
1 Make a cutting template from a piece of hardboard according to our pattern. Then you don't have to measure again and again.
2 With this template, the zigzag pattern can then be transferred to the finished wallpaper and cut without any problems.
3 Before wallpapering, the dark red stripe is applied using a small paint roller the width of a roller. After the paint has dried, the wallpaper sections can be wallpapered on.
For simple plate construction
you need the following materials: 2,5 sqm 16 mm thick blockboard for 50 Euro, about 9 lfd.m 2 x 2 cm thick pine wood slats for 12 Euro, 1 m clothes rail for 6,50 Euro plus four mounts for 4 Euro and two doorstops as feet for 3 Euro.
The wardrobe
A The blockboard cut to size in the hardware store is cut all around according to the drawing 2 x 2 cm thick pine wood strips nailed and glued.
B The cover of the cloakroom is invisibly fixed to the upright wall from behind with Spax screws. The wardrobe itself is also mounted on the wall from behind using the doubled strip.
C Saw the cupboard tubes to size first, if the cloakroom element is anchored to the corridor wall. This is the only way to determine an exact dimension. consider it, that the closet pipe hangers about 3 to 4 mm thick and this measurement must be deducted twice from the cabinet tubes!
