Why don't you get the Easter bunny moving?: with this great egg pyramid. The romantic attraction for your Easter table. An exclusive DIY idea.
The researchers are still puzzling, why rabbits at Easter (and only then) lay hard-boiled eggs. But we don't want to wait any longer for a scientific clarification. Because it is urgent, to start building our carousel, that combines both Easter symbols in a happy round - the rabbit and the egg.
Two levels with round recesses serve as presentation plates for twelve Easter eggs. A music box with a turntable keeps the long ears busy, the 18-part musical work lets a spring melody ring out. If you already have experience with the design and construction of an Advent pyramid, you can make corresponding loans. There are no limits to your imagination when it comes to decorating the circuit with figures – except one: The music box brings plates and animals only up to the maximum 500 grams in circulation, otherwise the musical presentation will not really get going. And who still believes in the Easter Bunny, when he circles with the temperament of a turtle?
The pyramid can be made of plywood or – that looks the nicest – from multiplex (birch, 9 mm stark) to build. Since almost all components are circular or arc-shaped, it comes down to dealing with leaves that are literally true to the line- and jigsaw on. The round openings for the eggs are made with the Forstner bit.
That certain something: The rotating plate is largely hidden from view, the rabbits are frolicking – attached to pins – on the one above, immovable plane. The rotor plate rests on the turntable of the musical movement, which is screwed to the base plate. Suitable for Easter, SELVA offers the two melodies "There is a mill"
