There are toys, who quickly lose their appeal. Others bring joy over and over again over the years, because they are so versatile. A good example of this:
According to the dimensions of our drawing (see the next page) cut the walls from 12 mm plywood. Adjust the first bar, glue in.
In the miter box you can make the frame strips for windows, Cut gables and corners to length, then glue. Draw vertical auxiliary lines beforehand.
Then use glue and small pins to attach the decorative strips to the outside of the facade. Cut the protruding ends together.
The freight elevator, Mounted under the roof beams of the barn, is screwed to the bracket. The crane hook is bent from wire.
Despite all the competition from Game Boy, remote-controlled cars or computer games: With a real wooden farm, including a house and a large barn, you can probably inspire all children from six to about ten years of age the most. Why is that? Maybe the good memories, that some of them remembered for their last vacation in the country? Or about it, that the natural coexistence of man and animal has a very special appeal, especially for city children? Whatever it is: In any case, our farm immediately fascinated all the little ones – because it's so fun to play with.

The kids figured that out pretty quickly: For example, there is the removable roof. Pull out the wooden dowel, holding everything on the ridge beam, you can remove it and the playmobil figures, to which the building size is matched, also act indoors. Even the hayloft can be reached with a built-in winch via the loading hatch in the gable. And there is space for the tractor or the handcart in the passage, which is under the rick. There is even a plus: At the end of the "playing time" the farm accessories from Playmobil simply go inside the house and barn. Everything is in its best order!
The removable roof of the barn makes it possible, also to stow real loads in the hayloft. Below is a wide passage for the carts, for tractor, hay wagon or carriage.
Attention: It all depends on the right color! Even if six- Children up to the age of ten no longer nibble on their toys: If you want to beautify the self-made farm with color, must not contain any harmful pigments or biocidal active ingredients. The right colors for children's toys must be on the containers as saliva- and sweat-proof according to DIN 53160 be expelled. Look for this label when shopping!
