The "FIX.it" from Fischer
Who does not know that: The drill slips away and suddenly the hole in the wall is so big for the towel rail or the new wall lamp, that no dowel holds anymore. Resourceful do-it-yourselfers squeeze matches into the drill hole, fill it with plaster of paris or simply stick a small plug into a larger one. But it remains a shaky affair.
Fastening specialist Fischer is now offering "First Aid" for the damaged drill hole. The solution is called “FIX.it”. These are round fleece pads, which are provided with a special resin. The pads are briefly dipped in water and wrapped around the dowel while they are still wet. The dowel with the pad is then screwed into the drill hole. If necessary, it can also be wrapped with several pads. The special resin hardens within three minutes and the dowel can be fully loaded. "FIX.it" can be used for attachments such as hooks, Pictures and bathroom accessories can be used in all building materials. A pack contains ten pads and costs around 5 Euro.
Conclusion: "FIX.it" is a patent and fast do-it-yourself help for frayed dowel holes, that holds, what she promises.
