fair weather – walls

Without wind protection, it can get uncomfortable on the terrace. We present four airy shields to build and buy.

With this original partition (picture left) you can enjoy the sunny hours on the terrace protected from the wind and the disturbing looks of the neighbors. It is easy to recreate and can be dismantled after the summer season. The partition consists of an aluminum frame (Aluminum rectangular profiles 50 x 20 x 2 mm, 2 m long, about 20 Euro), Wooden poles and nylon fabric (Spinnakertuch, is available from the sailmaker). The highlight are the different widths of fabric, which have a tunnel hem at the ends and are "braided" around the wooden poles. You determine the color composition and the width of the strips yourself. The frame is mounted with chair brackets on the wall and on the floor so that it is concealed.

The strips are required for screwing the frame corner connection.

Mark drill holes, the anchor (s. S. 81), gradually with one 5-, 10- and 16 mm metal drill bit 40 mm deep and then deburr with a grinding cone. When drilling, the machine vice is firmly screwed to the drill stand.

So that the bit holder fits through, re-drill the outsides larger. Then two vertical and one horizontal frame part flush (allowances!) screw.

Push the frame part onto the round rods, hit with a rubber mallet, screw.
