Sunbathing on the terrace needs a certain intimacy, especially when you're in a ranks- or semi-detached house lives. If you have a light, but prefer opaque separation, double-wall sheets are an ideal material for this. The translucent plastic panels, die es in transparent, White, smoke-colored and in bluish opal, can be easily put together with tongue and groove – in our example horizontally. If you have edged the panels with the U-profiles, the frame must be attached to the house wall with brackets.
Double-striped panels made of PVC (also called hollow chamber panels) are available in different dimensions and different colours. The lightweight construction is for greenhouses, Carports and partition walls particularly suitable.
The panels are attached to two stop bars with a fine-toothed handsaw, held by clamps, cut to required length.
The 20 cm wide elements can be put together to the desired size using the tongue and groove principle. (200 x 20 x 1,6 cm panels cost per piece 9 euros at Bauhaus).
The special U-profiles made of aluminum for framing are mitered at one end with the help of the cutting box. (price for 200 x 2 x 1,9 cm: round 11 euros in the Bauhaus).
An aluminum profile is attached and a counterpart is aligned accordingly at the mitered end. Now the exact length or miter for the cut can be marked on the profile using an angle ruler.
