During the autumn work in the garden there are lots of leaves, Perennial residues and pruning together. Branches and dry stalks can be easily shredded with the shredder, Leaves are picked up with the lawnmower and shredded in the process. Collect the different materials separately if possible, because they are filled into the composter in layers. If you want to put on new compost, does it make sense, collect grass clippings and kitchen scraps individually for a few weeks. More material is coming, if the bunch, which has been piled up over the summer months, is implemented. It is sieved and partly used to prepare the beds for spring planting, partly replanted.
The different substances are 5 to 10 cm thick layers in the compost container. The more different material is available, the richer the compost becomes.
There should be enough space at the composting site, to collect different materials and turn the compost. With the help of the sieve, mature compost is separated from rotted compost.
