When cauliflower is planted on corbel-infested land, a complete failure is to be expected.
Clubroot is expressed by tuberous growths on the roots of the affected plants. It is the work of destruction of a slime mold, the cauliflower (also other cabbages) causes to die. The fungus is difficult to kill in the soil. That's why it's better, not to plant cabbage on contaminated land for about four years. In the meantime, the soil should be liberally limed. Infested with clubroot, cabbage stalks that appear healthy must be carefully dug up and burned. They must never end up on the compost heap.
