With air dehumidifiers, the humidity in a room can be significantly reduced. In this way you can prevent the formation of mold in particular, which mainly forms on damp walls. Mold growth in the apartment can lead to disease and should therefore be avoided at all costs; otherwise it will be necessary to have it removed by a specialist, which, however, can be relatively expensive.

As a rule of thumb it can be said, that in an average four-person household within a day 12 Liters of water are released into the room air. In any case, you should ventilate regularly, so that it doesn't get too humid indoors. However, sometimes this is not possible due to the weather or structural requirements. In such cases, air dehumidifiers are useful.

Molds, for example, need a moist surface, on which they can multiply. If the humidity in a room is high on average and the air circulation is low at the same time, there is a danger, mold growth occurs.

Structure and areas of application of air dehumidifying devices

Different types of air dehumidifying devices can be distinguished in terms of their mode of operation, who work with different physical methods. So-called condensation dryers are particularly effective. These dehumidifiers suck in the room air, it cools off suddenly and in this way removes moisture from it.

Of course, air dehumidifiers are not only used to prevent mold. They are also used for drying new buildings, In addition, such a device is of great help after water damage. The ongoing dehumidification of the air means that the floor and walls dry out much faster. In combination with a humidifier, you also have the option, to keep the humidity in a room at a constant level. After all, air that is too dry is not particularly healthy in the long run.
