As we count to welcome the new year, most of you can become, prepping, to attend parties and meetings. Makeup is an essential part of NYE parties and traditional, happens to be the glitter “Go to look” for this time of year.
I love glitter but I also understand, it can be a pain to use and seems a bit much for some people. If you still want a sparkly yet wearable look without the annoying glitter, this tutorial is for you!
Der Star Produkt dieser Look ist die MAC Pressed Pigment. These pigments come in a variety of gorgeous colors, but since I love natural tones, I had to try the midtone brown called Deep Dashing. What is amazing, above these pigments is the shine, they contain. The color part of the pigment is not very intense, but the multi-dimensional sparkles give the lid a stunning glow.
Paired up with either nude lips or with a statement red or dark lip, this look is so versatile, it will with that, whatever outfit you decide to go wear. But the best part is, how easy it is, to create … This is, what we really like?:)

HOW
1. Prep your eyes with your favorite primer – i Urban Decay Eye Primer Original
2. Using the Basic Shadow Brush, Apply Lorac Pro Gold Eye Shadow from the inner corner of the eye to half in; Also line the inner part of the lower lash line with this color
3. With the Arched Shadow Brush, apply Lorac Pro Espresso Eye Shadow to the outer half of the eyes, of the color coming out slightly over the eyes, as seen in the picture.
4. With the Deluxe Crease Brush, intermingle the line, where the gold and espresso colors meet halfway, until the colors merge smoothly. With the same brush, blend the outer edges in small circular motions. If you need to intensify the colors at any stage, go over the steps 2 & 3 and continue to mix after each application. There should be no sharp or visible lines.
5. With the detail brush, Line the lower lash line with Lorac Pro Espresso eye shadow. Smudge this color to get a smokey effect.
6. With your fingers (I find this to be the best application method for pressed pigments), dab MACs Tief Dashing, anywhere on the eyelid. The key is, to push the pigment down, Not, since this swipe can move the shadows you already applied. You can build up the pigment depending on it, how shimmery you want your eyelids to be. The pigment is multidimensional, so you will get a good shine even after the first coat. I also went over the lower lash line, just to add some sparkle over the espresso eyeshadow we're stepping into 5 used sprinkle.
7. If you are satisfied with the intensity of the pigment, Use Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner and draw a fine line along the upper lash line. You can wing the line as far as you like.
8. With MAC teddy eyes cabbage (which is a shimmery brown), line the inner edge of the eyes, to complement the shine on your lid. You definitely can with a black eyeliner, If you want.
9. Curl your lashes and apply your favorite mascara and false lashes (Line the inner rim of the eyes with a black eyeliner).
10. Pair your look with a subtle nude lip or a statement red / dark lipstick …
… And you are ready, to party all night and welcome 2014 looking fabulous!
With that I would like to wish you all a happy new year. May 2014 bring good health, luck and everything, what you can dream;)
