If you don't like reading the tracks, where family members or guests are coming from, need the boot cleaner. He guarantees, that dirt and earth stay outside the door.
Simple scrubbers are the brushes in this boot cleaner. To be able to fix them in the frame, you need to remove the edge of the metal thread and drill screw holes from the bristle side. You drill from the back, one easily encounters tufts of bristles, which then fall out and leave bald spots.
The frame is made of 18 mm pine plywood. The simple plate thickness is sufficient for the floor, two pieces are glued together for the side panels. To do this, apply waterproof glue to the entire surface and press the panels together with clamps. The panels get their trapezoidal shape after drying. Now drill the hole for the rod and then glue the sides onto the base plate, for optical reasons 3,4 cm offset inwards.
So that the boot cleaner stands stable and non-slip, rubber doorstops are placed as feet underneath. The 1 m long round stick is comfortable, to hold on to when cleaning boots or to quickly carry the cleaner to another place.
1 Trennen Sie den Rand des Gewindes mit Hilfe von Schraubendreher (start from above!) and hammer partially and pull off the rest with the pliers.
2 Mit einem hartmetallbestückten Scharnierlochbohrer (26 mm) cut in 2 cm deep hole in the ball and a 5 cm deep hole in a side part.
3 Die bereits mit Löchern versehenen Bürsten sind Schablonen für die Bohrlöcher in Seiten und Bodenplatte. The lower brushes are from below, screwed the side from the inside.
4 Eine Umschaltknarre mit langem Schrauberbit-Adapter ist praktisch beim Befestigen der Bürsten von innen.
