Most of the time it's practical, to orient oneself at the window and to glue the first strip in this way, that she 2 to 3 cm protrudes around the window niche. Align them exactly perpendicular!

There is a special glue for borders. His advantage: You don't need to touch it and you don't have to observe any soaking times. Simply press down the border with your hand or a wallpapering brush.

Inlays are not only possible for furniture, they can also provide interesting effects for wallpaper. Because wallpaper changes shape as it softens, you have to pay attention to the running direction, Cut and paste both pieces at the same time. A simple alternative to this: Cut out pieces of wallpaper and stick on with border glue. Disadvantage: The glued wallpaper edges remain unprotected.

Every room has corners, door niches and windows, that require custom work. That's a bit of a hassle.

Most common mistake: Entire strips are generously glued around the corners and not carefully pressed on. The consequence: The wallpaper is peeling off again in places and drying out as a hollow curve in front of the corner. Often the track on the next wall is no longer vertical – a problem, that you can't get rid of. It is better, just about 2 to 3 cm to wallpaper around corners and niches. It's even safer, if the protruding strip all 15 to 20 cm is incised. Then it hugs bumps even better. Patterned wallpaper cannot be pieced lengthwise at will. Therefore, you should work in full swathes from side to side above and below the window.

It gets cramped behind radiators. In order to be able to thread the wallpaper there better, it is recommended, cut the tracks in strips. Are the radiators attached to the wall, it is best to place the incisions in the same way, that they aim exactly at the mounts. Press with the roller.
