Who does not know that? You want to freshen up your slightly graying white walls. So buy white paint and quickly paint over it. The result? Didn't hit right in the corners, there a spot in the middle of the wall, and paint is also missing above the baseboard. But you were quite sure, not to have overlooked anything. The end of the song: Delete everything again, otherwise the surface will be spotted.
The same can easily happen when pasting wallpaper. You can hardly see the almost transparent paste, dry patches remain on the back, and the wallpaper sticks badly to the wall. Open seams and raised edges are the inevitable result. Through a simple trick, ICI Dulux (colour) and handle (wallpaper paste) solved this problem. Both manufacturers have built an “order control” into their product. When applying paint (Magic White) or paste (Metylan pink) are both soft pink at first. After about 40 minutes of drying time, Magic White changes to a radiant white. In the meantime, the do-it-yourselfer can see clearly even in twilight or poor lighting, where he has already deleted and achieves a corresponding approach- and streak-free result.
Wallpapering made easy
