Spring is here! But it's not just sunshine that comes with it, but also mosquitoes, flies and wasps! We show you, how to prevent insects from entering your living space without using chemicals.
SLIDING DOOR This robust aluminum sliding element, which is primarily used in large openings, is measured and installed directly by professionals. Get advice from a carpenter, regardless of whether you need a single element for the balcony or an eight-wing system for the conservatory. Where to find a handyman near you, incorporating these elements, as well as further information can be obtained from the Neher company.
SWING DOORS The simple swing doors are ideal for self-installation, which are available in plastic and aluminum. Who has enough space on the outside for the swinging door, for him, this system is both the cheapest and the most practical. There are versions for self-construction solutions from the hardware store through to custom-made products. You can get plastic doors off 20 Euro, aluminum doors first 70 Euro.
SLIDER ROLLER BLIND
Right there, where little space is available for an outward swinging door, like on a small balcony, the sliding roller blind is a great solution. The pre-assembled individual parts are sawn precisely and mounted on the door frame from the outside. The kit is available from just under 100 Euro in the colors brown and white with the dimensions 125 x 220 cm (Schellenberg).
THREE VARIANTS
With windows, you have the option of using the insect screen as a hinged window, to be installed as a permanently installed frame or as a tilting window. As big as the choice of providers is, so is the price range. This starts with plastic frames (DIY goods) at about 20 Euro. Plastic frames should only be permanently installed due to their mostly shaky construction. At Klapp- and bottom hung windows are available with aluminum frames from about 40 euros well advised. They are available as kits (Obi @ Otto) or made to measure directly from the manufacturer
AS ROLLER BLIND OR WITH PULL-THROUGH
There are two different ways to protect yourself from the nasty planes with the roof windows. The easy one is, you fasten the gauze completely around the window frame (photos below) or you use a roller blind. The roller blind on the right is even equipped with an additional shading roller blind, so that you can kill two birds with one stone. Such a double blind is available 120 euros at Neckermann.
