In the middle of the garden or in the shelter of bushes or hedges: You can build your favorite spot yourself. With ready-made wooden elements, the arbor is child's play.
Some prefer the shady spots in the garden, others seek the sun. But hardly anyone wants to settle down unprotected in their garden. Bushes and shrubs can provide protection from wind and prying eyes. But they are not always there, where you need them. Who then puts new plants, have to be patient for a few years, until they are the size you want. It's much faster, if you build a sheltered corner yourself.
A seating surround doesn't have to be a case for the architect. With trellis and prefabricated privacy screens, a pretty gazebo is quickly built. Climbing plants find support on the bars, so that it will soon become green walls.
The components in our example come from the same garden wood program (by Brugmann). The advantage: All parts fit together perfectly, have uniform grid spacing, and the distance between the posts does not have to be measured again every time. Should they
Posts not fixed with joist hangers on concrete bases, but to be buried, you need lengths of at least 2,70 m.
The lattice roof is built from a trellis fence element: cut to size and fitted with a panel. Pebbles are poured as the floor. You can border them with outdoor boards, those in front of the joists of the catwalk (not mounted too far apart, otherwise the catwalk boards will sag, s. Fig. below) are screwed.
And after the work is done it says: The arbor is ready.
